LeakShield provides content protection services including automated scanning of publicly accessible websites, search engines, and platforms to detect unauthorized copies of your copyrighted material. Our services include scan result reporting, DMCA takedown notice generation, hosting provider identification, and continuous monitoring. LeakShield is a technology platform — we are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use LeakShield. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are the copyright holder of the content you wish to protect, or that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright holder. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
3. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that all DMCA claims filed through our service are accurate and made in good faith. Filing false DMCA claims is a violation of federal law and may result in liability for damages, including costs and attorney fees. You agree not to use LeakShield to file fraudulent takedown requests, harass individuals, or for any purpose other than legitimate copyright protection. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
4. DMCA Process Disclaimer
LeakShield facilitates the creation and delivery of DMCA takedown notices on your behalf. We do not guarantee that any particular takedown request will result in the removal of infringing content. Response times and compliance vary by hosting provider, registrar, and jurisdiction. You bear full legal responsibility for the accuracy of your copyright claims and the content of any DMCA notices sent through our platform. We recommend consulting with a qualified attorney for complex intellectual property matters.
5. Subscription & Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) at the rate displayed at the time of purchase. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to paid features until then. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new subscribers. Refund requests made within 30 days of your initial subscription purchase will be honored without question. Prices may change with 30 days' advance notice.
6. Limitation of Liability
LeakShield is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of scan results, the success of any takedown request, or the permanent removal of infringing content. In no event shall LeakShield be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
7. Intellectual Property
LeakShield and its associated branding, software, and technology are the property of LeakShield and are protected by intellectual property laws. You retain all ownership rights to your copyrighted content. By using our service, you grant LeakShield a limited license to use your username, content metadata, and scan results solely for the purpose of providing the service.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may cancel your account through account settings or by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, file fraudulent claims, or engage in abusive behavior. Upon termination, we will retain your scan data for 30 days to allow for data export, after which it will be permanently deleted. You may request immediate deletion of your data at any time.
9. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at /privacy. By using LeakShield, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through a notice on our website. Your continued use of LeakShield after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may cancel your account.
